Damian Travier, Executive Director of the Access Psychology Foundation, joined the organization in January of 2022. Damian has over 25 years’ experience in the education, philanthropic, and corporate sectors. Prior to his work with the Access Psychology Foundation, Damian served as Vice President of Programs at the Jackie Robinson Foundation and as Director of Leadership Development at Prep for Prep, Inc.
Throughout the course of his career, Damian has created, refined, and executed numerous programmatic initiatives including an annual Professional Development and Leadership Conference, a Corporate Internship Program, an International Travel Fellowship, and a National Mentorship Program. Recognizing the significance of mental health challenges and emotional well-being of young people of color, Damian created programs and initiated strategic partnerships to promote awareness, encourage dialogue, and develop healthy coping strategies focused on wellness and stress management. He has also built countless relationships with senior level corporate executives and elected officials. Damian has proudly spent his professional career working at the intersection of corporate engagement, leadership development, diversity, recruiting, and partnership building. Earlier in his career, he served on the management teams of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and the New York City Partnership (Chamber of Commerce) in Manhattan.
Damian has been a board member for numerous organizations and partnerships including the White House Initiative on HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and the Syracuse University Mentor Mentee Association (SUMMA). He is currently a member of the board of directors for Democracy Prep Public Schools, a national charter management organization, and a member of the African American Men of Westchester. Damian attended Syracuse University where he received a BA in Sociology and an MBA from the Whitman School of Management. He is a mentor with the PitCCh-In Foundation, and coaches youth sports in Westchester County, NY.
