A development professional with 20+ years’ experience, Gina Taglieri is responsible for
having raised over $90M – either as director of a team or frontline fundraiser – for
nonprofits in higher education, educational equity, human rights/ LGBTQ rights, social
services, medical research, and the performing arts. Working at institutions as varied as
Columbia and Cornell Universities, Human Rights First, MADRE, the Astraea Justice
Foundation, and Manhattan School of Music, Gina has successfully raised 6- and 7-
figure gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations, as well as from state and
federal funding sources.
In her development role, Gina has written speeches, presentations and scripts for NYS
political leaders, college and university presidents, high-profile philanthropists, and
entertainment professionals. She has also collaborated on numerous publications, such
as annual reports, e-newsletters, mission statements, and strategic plans.
Prior to her work in development, Gina was an Associate Professor of English at the
State University of NY (Fashion Institute of Technology). She holds a Bachelor’s degree
in English & German Literature from Stanford University and a Master of Arts and
Master of Philosophy in English & Comparative Literature from Columbia University.
She is the author of A Student’s Study Guide to James Joyce’s Dubliners (REA
Publishing 1996)) and a former Fellow for the New York State Council for the
Humanities. In addition, Gina serves as a volunteer mentor for the Stanford Alumni
Association.
